The short version

• You can read this site without giving us anything.
• We only collect what you type into our partner forms, and only if you send them.
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies. The site does load fonts from Google Fonts (see section 6).
• We never sell your information.
• Online donations go through Cheddar Up. We never see or store your card details.

North Cascades Animal Refuge is a project of Indigo Unlimited, a Washington 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-3699154). "We" and "us" means Indigo Unlimited. Also see our Terms of Use.

Details

1. Browsing the site

You don't need an account, and there's no login. We don't set cookies, and we don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. The site's own small script runs only in your browser. Our web host, Cloudflare, receives basic technical information whenever a page loads, such as your IP address and browser type. This is needed to deliver and secure the site, and Cloudflare handles it under its own policies.

2. Our partner forms

Business Partner form (/partners). If you send it, we store your business name, contact name, and email; your phone and business address if you give them; how you'd like to help (match sponsor, counter QR display, event host, in-kind, or other); an optional pledge amount; your notes; and a short code showing which link or QR code brought you to the form.

Printed kit / drop-off request form. If you send it, we store the type of request, your business name, contact name, phone, email, address, preferred drop-off time, and notes.

With every submission we also record the date and time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent, and the page you came from.

How we use it: to contact you, send or drop off the kit, set up the partnership, and keep our own records. Business addresses are for internal use only and are never shown publicly. We show a partner's name, logo, or giving totals publicly only after you agree to it in writing. A pledge entered on the form is not a binding commitment (see our Terms of Use).

3. Where it's stored and who can see it

Submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database managed by our web developer, Dream Team Consulting (a Zoe Ophelia Holdings company). Each submission is also emailed to us through Cloudflare Email Routing and arrives in a Google (Gmail) inbox. The only people who can see submissions are the Indigo Unlimited staff and volunteers who handle partnerships, and the developer who runs the site. We don't share them with anyone else unless the law requires it.

4. Spam filtering

The forms contain hidden fields: an empty "honeypot" field and a signed timestamp. We automatically check each submission for signs of spam, such as being sent too fast, coming from a disposable email domain, or using common sales-pitch phrases. Flagged submissions aren't processed as normal submissions. We keep their content, IP address, and the reason they were flagged in a separate spam log so we can review mistakes. If you think a real message didn't reach us, please email us.

5. Donations

Online donations are processed by Cheddar Up (methow-valley-animal-intake-fund.cheddarup.com). We never receive or store your card or bank details. Cheddar Up's own privacy policy and terms apply to anything you enter there. Cheddar Up gives us the donor details it collects, such as your name, email, and gift amount, so we can thank you and keep records.

6. Other services

• Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so Google receives your IP address and browser information.
• Links to Facebook, Cheddar Up, and indigounlimited.org go to sites with their own privacy policies.

7. How long we keep it

We keep submissions and spam logs only as long as we need them for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them.

8. Your choices

You can ask us to show, correct, or delete what you sent us, or to stop contacting you. Email info@indigounlimited.org. We don't sell or rent personal information. This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

9. Washington charity registration

Indigo Unlimited's registration under Washington's Charitable Solicitations Act (RCW 19.09) is in the process of being renewed.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the update here with a new date.
