The short version
- This site tells you about the refuge's work and how you can help.
- Sending a partner form or entering a pledge is not a binding contract. Any sponsorship is confirmed with you in writing.
- Donations go through Cheddar Up, and Cheddar Up's terms apply there.
- Gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please ask your own tax advisor.
- Please don't misuse the forms.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the rules for using the North Cascades Animal Refuge website. North Cascades Animal Refuge is a project of Indigo Unlimited, a Washington 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 99-3699154). It is not a separate legal entity. "We" and "us" means Indigo Unlimited. By using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. About the site
The site gives general information about the refuge, our planned Methow Valley animal intake facility, and how people and businesses can help. Plans, goals, and timelines may change. We are not an emergency animal service. For an animal in immediate danger, contact local animal control or law enforcement.
2. Partner forms, pledges, and sponsorships
- Sending a form tells us you're interested. It doesn't create a contract or oblige you to pay anything.
- A pledge amount entered on the form isn't legally binding. A sponsorship, matching gift, naming opportunity, or multi-year pledge is final only after both sides confirm it in writing.
- Recognition, such as name or logo listings, banners, plaques, decals, shout-outs, or naming, is our way of acknowledging your gift. It isn't advertising, and it isn't goods or services given in exchange.
- If you send us your logo, you give us permission to display it to recognize your partnership, and you confirm that you have the right to give that permission. You can withdraw it anytime by emailing us. We'll remove the logo from the website within a reasonable time, but printed materials that already exist may stay as they are.
3. Donations
- Online donations are processed by Cheddar Up (methow-valley-animal-intake-fund.cheddarup.com). Cheddar Up's terms and privacy policy apply to your payment. We never receive or store card details.
- Gifts are made to Indigo Unlimited for North Cascades Animal Refuge. They are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and we'll send you a written acknowledgment.
- Gifts are generally non-refundable. If a gift was made in error, such as a wrong amount or a duplicate charge, please contact us at info@indigounlimited.org and we'll work with you to fix it.
- Gifts support North Cascades Animal Refuge's work, including the planned intake facility. If a specific goal isn't fully met, we'll use gifts for the refuge's closely related animal-welfare work. A matching gift is counted up to the amount the match sponsor confirms.
- Indigo Unlimited's Washington charitable solicitation registration (RCW 19.09) is in the process of being renewed.
4. Using the forms fairly
Please don't send spam, sales pitches, false information, or someone else's details, and don't try to interfere with the site. We use automated filtering and may drop submissions that look like spam.
5. Our content
The text, photos, logos, and the North Cascades Animal Refuge name belong to Indigo Unlimited or are used with permission. You're welcome to share our pages and campaign materials to support the refuge. Please don't change them, or suggest that we endorse you, without asking us first.
6. Links to other sites
We link to Cheddar Up, Facebook, indigounlimited.org, and other sites. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.
7. No warranties; limit of liability
The site is provided "as is." We try to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise that it always will be. To the extent the law allows, Indigo Unlimited isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the site.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be heard in the state courts located in Okanogan County, Washington.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we do, we'll post the new date here.
